Growth ContinuesI have continued to stand amazed at the door the Lord has opened to us in Nepal. Not everything is working out exactly as I planned but we are moving rapidly forward and seeing much fruit. Two New Properties PurchasedI have been saving up funds to expand the main church building at our base in Nepalgunj but decided last month to use those funds to purchase land in two remote regions. We spent $50,000 on two pieces of property. We are expanding our building at the main church to accommodate another 150 people but have postponed the construction of the larger building until the church has grown a bit more. The properties we purchased will allow us to begin to develop two regional centers in areas where we already have groups of churches established. Developing Regional BasesBoth are about a day’s journey from the main church, and both have the potential to become bases where we will be able to train leaders and oversee our growing number of village churches. Following are excerpts from a letter I received from our lead pastor in Nepal... Pastor Goman, his father, and the church members were all in tears for this great blessing to their church. Goman phoned on Friday morning to say that all his church members are so thankful to the Lord and so excited to win many more souls for Christ and expand their church. They all are so much thankful to the Lord, to you pastor Rick, and to all the praying partners for meeting this great need. The cost of this land is so cheap compared to other land in the area. The lady who was the owner of the land was healed from a terrible sickness when Pastor Goman's father prayed over her and she offered to help the church by selling the land at a reduced price. Thank you so much for your prayer and help...Pastor KB. Though the churches at both locations are only a few years old, they number about 150 and they will grow quickly now that we have property.
