The work in Nepal continues to amaze me. When Pastor David Knox introduced us to K.B. Basil some seven years ago, I never dreamed we would partner with K.B. and see such a remarkable advance of the Kingdom of God. We’ve come to realize that this work is truly the work of the Lord and there is honestly little credit we can take. Many have joined in helping to see this work advance and for all that have helped, I am grateful.
Pastor K.B. is sending awesome reports these days which I will forward to you as I receive them. In December he was able, with our help, to launch nine new churches. These are small, village churches at the moment and meeting in homes but they will grow quickly to congregations. One of the new churches is lead by a man who was a former prisoner. He came to the Lord through the witness of one of our leaders who was ministering to the prisoners. They actually have a group of 4 believers in that particular jail. This brother has been released and is now one of our leaders in the region of Dailekh.
A Christmas drama was presented at Sophia School. Beverly sponsors a number of children here and their witness to the community is growing in influence. Many of the children in the school are from Hindu families but through the school curriculum, their children hear clear presentations of the Gospel. Many of the children as well as their parents have come to the Lord through the school’s ministry.
As the 125 churches we have planted grow, they are beginning to sponsor their own evangelistic outreaches to their communities. It is gratifying beyond words to see these young congregations become truly self-sufficient and self-motivated in vision.
Thanks for all you are doing to stand with us in faith and prayer.
Rick
